Angelina Jolie's Fantasy Wedding Gown Sketch: Rivini

If you've noticed the wide range of shapes and styles Angelina Jolie prefers to sport both on the red carpet and off, you aren't the only one. "I was inspired by Angelina's incredible versatility and openness to different silhouettes and designs," says Rivini designer Rita Vinieris when creating a gown for the star. "She has an uncanny ability to wear a dress and not let the dress wear her." Vinieris imagines Jolie wearing a handwoven silk-charmeuse gown shrouded in tulle across the bust and neckline. The skirt of her design, which she calls Danielle, features hand-dyed ostrich feathers dusted in a flurry of crystals and accented with a tulle-covered crystal belt. "Angelina is a fashion icon," Vinieris adds, "with a tremendous ability to exude modern, understated elegance while retaining a signature look all her own."

Angelina Jolie's Fantasy Wedding Gown Sketch: David Tutera

angelina-jolie-wedding-dress-david-tutera.jpg

Illustration: Courtesy of David Tutera for Mon Cheri

Designing for Mon Cheri, event planner and host of WE TV's My Fair Wedding David Tutera took a stab at what Angie might wear on her wedding day, explaining that he sees "Angelina wearing a form fitting, elegant silhouette with a boned corset bodice to show off her amazing figure. Tutera celebrated his own nuptials to Ryan Jurica eight years ago, a lavish destination event in Vermont that included a 1920s pavilion, horse-drawn carriages, a spa brunch, and a candle-lit 17th-century church ceremony. In that same spirit, Tutera imagines an equally dramatic look for the star, namely through color: "I envision the color of her dress in a champagne or warm organic tone crafted from raw silk."

Flower Girl Looks Inspired by the Jolie-Pitt Kids

jolie-pitt-kids-airport-.jpg

There's no doubt Brad and Angelina's ever-expanding brood will play a large part in their wedding day. The kids' collective wish for their parents to officially tie the knot was a huge motivator for the engagement, as the couple had originally vowed not to marry in protest of unequal marriage rights for gays and lesbians.

So now that the youngsters finally convinced dad to get down on one knee—with a 16-carat table-cut diamond no less—it's time to think about what they'll wear! Comfort is key when outfitting little ones for a wedding, but we doubt the Jolie-Pitt six-pack will skimp on style. We asked Sara Morgan, founder of Tailored, to pick a few key pieces that speak to the individual styles of each Jolie-Pitt kiddo, as well as Brad and Angie's wordly wedding style.

Will Angelina Jolie Wear a Chanel Wedding Dress?

angelina-jolie-chanel-wedding-dress.jpg

Photos: Fairchild Archive

Drew Barrymore may not be the only celebrity bride to wear Chanel down the aisle this year. With Brad Pitt's new role as the face of Chanel No. 5 (the first male spokesperson in the scent's 90-year history), chances are high that Angelina Jolie will also don a custom wedding gown from the iconic fashion house. Barrymore can't feel too overshadowed, however, as she'll retain the distinction of being a pregnant Chanel bride when she marries Will Kopelman—son of former Chanel exec Arie Kopelman—next month. (Then again, considering the rate of growth in the Jolie-Pitt family, even that may not prove true.)

If indeed Jolie aligns her dress selection to her future husband's endorsement deal, two of Chanel's most recent collections offer an appropriately worldly aesthetic for the international mother of six. Designer Karl Lagerfeld infused his 2012 Pre-Fall collection with the ornate textures and tones of Maharaja India, mixing gilded tweeds with pearlescent silks and draped asymmetry. The Spring 2012 Chanel Couture show never actually picked a destination, as Lagerfeld staged the jet-setting collection in a mocked-up airplane cabin where 150 shades of blue flew by on elongated proportions and embroidered fabrics. See our picks below for the top Jolie-eque looks from these recent Chanel runways:

While a plunging, glittering neckline (left) might appeal to the movie star's sense of dramatic glamour, the high-neck, long-sleeve looks (center; right) seem more in line with Jolie's newfound preference for coverage.

A more conservative approach could also guide Jolie's selection from the Chanel couture collection, where a drop-waist-embellished navy gown (left), a short-sleeve bateau design (center), and side-slit gown with a matching cropped jacket offer the most bridal style.

As a potential peek at things to come, we asked some of our favorite designers to dream up fantasy gowns for Angelina Jolie's megastar nuptials.

If there's anything Lela Rose takes away from Angelina Jolie's style, it's that Angie likes to look long and lean when working the red carpet. "I also know she likes to show some skin without being too revealing," says Rose, "so that's why I chose to cover her back and arms with sheer tulle and beading for a 'veiled' look." Translating award show-worthy appeal into a bridal context, the designer's draped satin-faced georgette gown features a glittering beaded yoke and an extra detail inspired by the star's most recent Oscars gown: "Of course I gave her a slit in the front, that's her signature look!"

As a potential peek at things to come, we asked some of our favorite designers to dream up fantasy gowns for Angelina Jolie's megastar nuptials.

Considering the international scope of Angelina Jolie's approach to motherhood, one can easily imagine the actress representing her children's various cultures in the details of her wedding gown—or, at least, that was Hayley Paige's thinking. "I believe her presence will revolve around a promise for the future in recognition of her diverse family unit and appreciation for her ability to positively influence others on a global scale," says Paige, who designs her own line as well as the Jim Hjelm Blush collection. "This look embodies worldly influence by incorporating the different weaving, beading, and embroidery techniques from the five regions of her children: Cambodia, Ethiopia, Namibia, France, and Vietnam."

The embroidered lace and silk georgette gown is defined by an embellished caplet that removes to reveal an elegant open back. "Anglenia is a consistent show-stopper on the red carpet, but her role as a mother, life partner, and humanitarian speaks larger volumes of gratitude and grace," the designer says. "I was inspired to create a gown of great meaning and gorgeous strength that is versatile in culture."

More than a few tears were shed when Ali Fedotowsky sent Cape Code cutie Chris Lambton home at the end of season six's The Bachelorette. Fans of the show fell hard for Lambton's boy next door charm, not to mention his honest-to-goodness desire to find the girl of his dreams and get married. But find her he did, and on May 5th Lambton finally accepted his final rose.

Ironically, the former Bachelorette contestant met his match in fellow ABC alum Peyton Wright, who appeared on season 10 of The Bachelor and season one of Bachelor Pad. The pair exchanged vows in a seaside ceremony at South Carolina's Wild Dunes Resort. The bride wore a strapless white gown by Melissa Sweet, which she purchased at Priscilla of Boston before the store's closing. Her bridal party was washed in pale yellow, wearing short ruffled dresses by LulaKate. The groom donned a grey suit, yellow tie and sneakers. Friends of the couple, including Fedotowsky's former fiance Roberto Martinez, dinned on down-home menu of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mini pecan pies and banana pudding parfaits.

As a potential peek at things to come, we asked some of our favorite designers to dream up fantasy gowns for Angelina Jolie's megastar nuptials.

Alfred Angelo designer Michael Shettel chose to focus on the hallmarks of Angelina Jolie's red-carpet style in dreaming up a fantasy wedding gown for the star. "Angelina has a classic, yet minimalist style," Shettel notes. "Never one to be overly designed, she chooses to highlight her figure in something body hugging and dramatic." The designer stayed true to such a silhouette with this re-embroidered lace, natural-waist mermaid gown, adding just a dose of Hollywood glamour with delicate crystal beading. "She also likes to keep the flash of skin limited to one particular area, such as a dramatic side slit skirt, or a daring open back," says Shettel, who opted for a dramatic back and sheer sleeves. "I wanted to create something that would be classically beautiful and remain true to her personal style."

As a potential peek at things to come, we asked some of our favorite designers to dream up fantasy gowns for Angelina Jolie's megastar nuptials.

To design Angelina Jolie's wedding gown, the team behind Watters first imagined the type of celebration she and Brad Pitt might host, deciding on "a low key event with close friends and family." From there, it was a matter of filtering Angie's signature style through Watters' take on a relaxed, intimate affair. "We believe she'll want to continue her sexy style but with classic touches such as an illusion neckline and three-quarter-length sleeves," the designers say. "We chose lightweight fabrics so the gown would be soft and romantic." A nod perhaps to one of the biggest trends of the Spring 2013 season, their silk-mousseline design is also trimmed in Chantilly lace along the illusion neck, sleeves, and hem.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's Wedding-Worthy Met Ball Looks

jessica-biel-justin-timberlake-met-ball-2012.jpg

Photo: Getty Images

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake spent Monday night dining and dancing among fashion's aristocracy at the Costume Institute's annual gala, dubbed the Met Ball, which this year celebrated the defining careers of Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. Based on their understated gala attire, however, Biel and Timberlake might have easily headed further downtown for a City Hall ceremony instead of rubbing well-dressed shoulders with Beyoncé, Linda Evangelista, and Michael Kors.

Wearing an ivory satin, deep-V Prada dress adorned with geometric jade-green stones, Biel looked every bit the courthouse bride next to Timberlake's impeccably tuxedoed groom (courtesy of Tom Ford). If the pair weren't already set on a late-summer wedding, the Met Ball would certainly have made for a memorable reception—because how else could you get Marc Jacobs to your party in a sheer lace dress?

"When I envision Angelina in a wedding dress," says designer-to-the-stars Reem Acra, "I am inspired by her classic elegance and effortless sex appeal. She is deliberate about her fashion choices and that sophisticated confidence makes for the perfect modern bride." It'll certainly take an Angelina-esque bravado to wear Acra's ivory, double-faced silk crepe gown, which features a prominent center-cinched bodice, an off-the-shoulder neckline, and a flared skirt—the kind of figure-hugging silhouette that evokes the star's steamier roles. One can even imagine Mrs. Smith slipping into such a gown, provided there's room for a concealed weapon.

"Angelina has all the right ingredients to be the muse for any couturier," notes Angel Sanchez, a designer who often dresses celebrities (Eva Longoria and Taylor Swift among them) for red carpet appearances. "Her imposing beauty, charisma, and Old Hollywood-glam look make for the perfect combination." For his Spring 2013 collection, Sanchez conjured a glossy, futuristic romance, which carries through to this long-sleeve, high-slit gown he imagined for Angelina's wedding day. The illusion neckline and sleeves feature hand embroidery over silk tulle, while a gazar skirt adds body and grandeur to the gown. "Angelina can carry a true couture gown effortlessly," says the designer. "That alone is inspiring."

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Renew Their Vows (PHOTO)

leann-rimes-eddie-cibrian-vow-renewal.jpg

Photo: Courtesy: LeAnn Rimes Cibrian

Less than a week after their one-year wedding anniversary, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian tied the knot for a second time in a casual Cabo San Lucas ceremony. "Renewed our vows today," LeAnn tweeted. "It's incredible to thank each other for the past year as husband and wife. Here's to another great year!" She later revealed the above photo tweeting, "Thought I'd share a few smiles and a special moment."

The couple looked ecstatic walking down the cozy, petal-strewn aisle lined with gold candles and glass hurricane vases. LeAnn complemented her breezy, strapless sheath with bare feet and a large bouquet of white flowers. And we only assume she accessorized the laid back look with Eddie's anniversary gift to her, an oversized green gemstone ring.

We'll have to sit tight until 2013 to see if yearly vow renewals—à la Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon—become a tradition for the two-time newlyweds. Sadly, the honeymoon is over for the trend's proprietary power couple. Heidi Klum and Seal, who famously renewed their vows every anniversary following their 2005 wedding, recently decided to separate.

We Plan Angelina Jolie and
Brad Pitt's Wedding

Photos: Fairchild Archive (Brad and Angelina); Courtesy of Angel Sanchez (illustration); Kim Sentner (bouquet); Courtesy of 'Lette (macarons); Courtesy of Properties (chateau); Courtesy of the vendors (others)

We asked our editors to help out Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt—because six kids, movie careers, and charities are enough work already—by dreaming up every detail of the wedding planning process, from booking a venue to selecting stationery to itemizing the registry. The result is a vision for the megastar couple rooted in classic black-and-white elegance with bold, graphic touches:

Venue: Chateau Miraval
"I'm betting Brad and Angelina decide to marry at their $60 million estate, Chateau Miraval, in the south of France." —Heather Lee

Bouquet: Calla Lillies
"If Angelina were a flower, wouldn't she be the calla lily? Long, slender, eye-catching. Plus, in some cultures callas are associated with death, and given Angie's slightly morbid past.. Kidding! (Actually, they are widely used at wakes, I'm not kidding about that.)" —Denise Penny Shepard

Statement Accessory: Christian Louboutin Clutch
"Angie's been captured by the paparazzi wearing pretty boring clothing as of late: White v-neck and black flats here, khaki trench and brown dress there. However, she does seem to like a loud accessory once in a while, and this one feels right for a reformed bad girl: one part bridal, two parts femme fatale." Marquise Python Clutch, $1,995, available at Saks —Denise Penny Shepard

Cake: Macaron Tower
"In keeping with the French theme, they should serve a tower of macaron cookies instead of a traditional wedding cake." —Heather Lee

Barware: Karl Lagerfeld
"It's only natural that this high-fashion Hollywood couple's style would translate to a registry, and so I wouldn't be surprised if Karl Lagerfeld's line of barware for Orrefors made an appearance on their wedding wish-list." $150-$250 per glass, available at Orrefors —Arielle Shipper

Stationery: Bernard Maisner
"Bernard Maisner's old-school gothic lettering and sexy flourishes (i.e. juicy wax seals) are at once traditional and enigmatic, just like the Jolie-Pitts. I could see them doing hand-delivered invitations with white calligraphy on black stock, finished off with a blood-red wax seal." —Denise Penny Shepard

China: Hermes
"Black and white 'Balcon du Guadalquivir' dinnerware by Hermes combines French sophistication with a hint of exoticism that's right up this ambassadorial couple's alley." $185 for dinner plate, available at Michael C. Fina —Arielle Shipper

Menu: Asian/Cajun Fusion
"The menu is a shout-out to their adopted children of Cambodian and Vietnamese descent and their love for the Big Easy. There's nothing like serving deep fried chicken on impossibly fine china." —Denise Penny Shepard

Pillows: Jason Wu for Canvas
"I imagine Angelina would bring a bit of her red carpet glamour home with these lace-accented pillows." $140-$160 each, Canvas —Arielle Shipper

Kid Attire: J.Crew
"I love the idea of a suit for Shiloh, since she is such a tomboy. She also seems to do the preppy thing, so I thought a blue seersucker would look so cute on her—especially with her blue eyes. On the opposite end, Zahara seems to wear tutus, pink, sparkles, and anything girlie. (She's a girl I can totally identify with, so I know she would delight in wearing glitter shoes to her parents' wedding.)" Sportcoat, $118, and glitter ballet flats, $58, both J.Crew —Elizabeth Swanson

Home Decor: DVF Vases
"Diane von Furstenberg herself famously came to Angelina's defense after her Academy Awards fashion faux-pas, so I think Angie will show her a little love back when it comes to her bridal registry. DVF's 'Powerstone' vases are the perfect complement to Brad and Angie's preference for clean lines and a modern aesthetic." $50-$75, available at Bloomingdale's —Arielle Shipper

Music: Caribbean and Jazz
"I know from watching 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' that Brad and Angie can dance. But I doubt they'd put on that kind of show at their wedding. More likely is a music-filled party ideal for mingling: Carib tunes during cocktails, maybe led by their buddy Wyclef Jean and his pals; all kinds of Jazz during dinner (because doesn't Brad strike you as a Miles Davis kind of guy?), and a DJ for dancing after cake—a brief set, mainly for the kids who probably won't get to bed before 6 a.m." —Denise Penny Shepard
